Different Funeral Services and Their Costs

Currently, death is still somewhat viewed as taboo; it must not be spoken of at all costs. It becomes an eerie and uncomfortable topic when it is brought up. In response to this, people would either laugh it off or simply voice out their discomfort and ask for the conversation to end.

For something guaranteed to happen, people’s discomfort is borne from death’s uncertainty. No one knows what happens after mortal life. In addition to this, life is so precious that anyone would want to keep it for as long as they can. Any threat to that life, even something as simple as a conversation on it, would cause unease.

While it is perfectly understandable for one to feel that way, treating the death as taboo will lead to unfavorable consequences. One, it adds to the anxiety. The inability or inhibition to talk about something almost always adds to one’s uneasiness. Therefore, instead of avoiding the topic, talking about it more will help reduce one’s anxiety about something, particularly death in this context. Two, it will lead to eventual emotional and financial costs. For emotional costs, imagine having to make funeral arrangements while mourning a loved one’s death. On top of this, the financial costs, deathcare products, and funeral services costs are not cheap. It may be difficult to find the money to pay for these services all at once. Being unprepared due to failing to accept death as normal just becomes a hassle for everyone involved.

That being stated, one must be able to accept death as no longer taboo. Once one achieves this, different discourses on death will become the norm. One example is planning a funeral early.

Planning a funeral early has its benefits. First, planning beforehand can ensure that the day itself flows smoothly. Conversely, procrastinating a funeral plan may lead to confusion, which just becomes added unnecessary stress when mourning could have been the only thing left to do had plans been arranged earlier. Second, planning early will help one come up with enough remuneration.

Making the decision to plan early starts with being informed. Aside from looking for a potential location, it is best to be informed about the prices. This is because as said above, prices can be overwhelming. Here are the different funeral services offered by Golden Haven.
